Throughout Massachusetts, thousands of people live without basic furniture and household goods. Finding and securing housing is essential for health, well being, and stability, but it is only the first step. Without beds, seating, a dining table, and kitchenware, a house or apartment is little more than a bare shelter. Household Goods, Inc. provides a full range of donated furniture and household items, free of charge, to help people in need make a home. Hundreds of social service agencies refer people who are recently homeless, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, low income, immigrants, victims of disaster, or are coping with illness or disability to Household Goods. Each year, Household Goods furnishes over 2,500 homes with 60,000 pieces of furniture and smaller household items. All this is made possible by hundreds of dedicated volunteers who contribute thousands of hours each year.

We at Calvary would like to contribute to the inventory at Household Goods by doing a furniture drive. Click the graphic below for a list of accepted items.

Bring your items to Calvary on Saturday, June 3rd between 9-11 AM. (If you can’t make it on June 3rd, please contact the church office to arrange for dropoff.)
